Title: Development Center Consultant

Job Description
The applicant with have responsibility for assigned Development Center projects, such as maintaining, evaluating and testing new productivity tools. Assist Systems Development with technical and procedural problems by providing consultation on the use of tools, methodology, systems design, debugging, and other items. Provide support for new product releases of productivity tools. Maintain the operational environment which is used by Systems Development (such as test CICS regions, compile panels, etc.). Write internal newsletter articles covering tips and techniques of using productivity tools. Participate in developing new ITS standards, procedures and guidelines and providing information contents for the Windows-based Programmer's Reference.Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years experience in large scale MVS environment.
- COBOL/CICS programming experience, including the use of MPIO.
- Experience with these tools: CA-Intertest, File-AID, VIA/SmartTest.
- A strong support and customer service orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience with testing and productivity tools, DL/1-IMS, & VSAM.
- Experience or exposure to a variety of tools, such as Report Writer, CA-Verify, REXX, CLIST, ISPF Dialog, VIA/Insight, VIA/SmartEdit, PVCS, Visual Basic, Powerbuilder, Oracle Forms, Panvalet, Panexec.
- Experience in setting up an intranet or Internet web site.
- Object-oriented analysis, design, and programming experience or training.
- B.S. in Computer Science or related Certificate form accredited higher-education institution.
