Job Description
Participate in the design, development, and implementation of Airborne's PC based shipping system, Lightship. As a team member, use your Window’s VB & C++ development skills to create new features for Airborne’s customers. Help to develop a migration plan to move from targeting Win 3.1 platforms, to Win 95/NT platforms. Work with support groups to design and develop an new communications host for Lightship, including VAN support. Consult with the development center to acquire new 32 bit tools. Assist less experienced team members in using new tools and techniques.Minimum Requirements
- 4 + years of Windows development experience with progressive responsibilities in project management, analysis, design, development, and implementation of Windows based software using a structured methodology.
- Expert level knowledge of VB, experienced in C++development, Windows’s APIs, LAN based multi-user development, and data communications using ASYNC & TCP/IP protocols.
- Strong Window’s knowledge including developing, testing and debugging in Win3.x, Win95, and Win NT a must.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Familiar with a wide variety of add-in components for VB.
- Experience with Object Oriented analysis and design.
- HP-UNIX server development using C a plus.
