HOLIDAY SHIPPING TIPS

Busy holiday times mean more pressure on your shipping network. Airborne Express is offering you these shipping reminders to help ensure your shipments arrive at their destination on time.

HELPFUL HINTS:

SEND CRITICAL SHIPMENTS EARLY.
Airborne guarantees on-time delivery. However, the best laid plans can be thwarted by Mother Nature.

MAKE SURE RECIPIENT’S ADDRESS AND ZIP CODE ARE COMPLETE AND CORRECT.
Errors can mean delays and misrouted shipments. Remember to include suite numbers or office floors.

WRITE FIRMLY AND LEGIBLY.
Typing the airbill is even better. This will help drivers and others to read information accurately.

SECURELY CLOSE AND SEAL PACKAGES.
Packaging provided by Airborne is best for securing contents and it’s free. Replenish your stock now to make sure you have what you need.

SOME THINGS TO AVOID:
  1. Damaged containers.
  2. Stuffing your packages beyond the weight specifications of the shipment container.
  3. Use of wrapping paper, string, cellophane tape or masking tape on the outside of your package.
  4. Allowing packages to get wet while awaiting pickup.
  5. Using inappropriate packaging to ship fragile items or hazardous materials.*

*including items with high intrinsic value, medical shipments and hazardous materials.
