A. EXECUTION OF SENDER'S LETTER OF INSTRUCTION AND AIRBILL
1. Preparation by sender and Airborne Express:
a. Sender shall complete or have completed on sender's behalf, shipping and forwarding instructions ("Sender's Letter of Instruction") containing all necessary information. Sender's Letter of Instruction shall be delivered simultaneously with the shipment to Airborne Express.
b. Airborne Express will prepare the airbill from the Sender's Letter of Instruction. Transportation charges and other accessorial charges, insofar as they have been ascertained, will be inserted by Airborne Express on the airbill prior to invoicing.
2. Apparent Order and Condition of Goods: If the apparent condition of the shipment and/or packing is other than good, sender must so specify on Sender's Letter of Instruction. However, if sender fails to do so, or if such statement is inaccurate, Airborne Express may insert a statement on the airbill as to the apparent condition of the shipment at the time of acceptance.
3. Responsibility for Particulars: Sender is responsible for the correctness and completeness of the particulars and statements which sender inserts in the Sender's Letter of Instruction or airbill, or which Airborne Express inserts on its behalf. Sender shall be liable for all damages suffered by Airborne Express or any other person by reason of the irregularity, incorrectness or incompleteness of said particulars or statements, whether Sender's Letter of Instruction or airbill was made out by or on behalf of sender or by Airborne Express (or completed by Airborne Express) on behalf of sender pursuant to Paragraph 1. of this Rule. In the case of shipments to be forwarded C.O.D., it shall be the sole responsibility of sender to enter the amount of the C.O.D. on Sender's Letter of Instruction or airbill, and Airborne Express shall not be liable for failure to collect the C.O.D. amount when not so entered by sender.
B. FREE DOMICILE FEE
If the sender requests to be billed for customs charges, taxes, and duties, the service charge is $25 USD. This service is available on a limited basis.
