When a receiver's address is incorrect on the airbill, Airborne Express will make every effort to determine the correct address and deliver the shipment as quickly as possible. There is a charge of $10 USD per correction for this service. Examples of incorrect addresses are: Using an old address when the receiver has relocated; transposing numbers in a street address; using P.O. box numbers; using incorrect postal codes. If Airborne Express is unable to determine the correct address or to locate the receiver, Airborne Express will contact the sender for further instructions. Airborne Express will not be liable or responsible for meeting its scheduled delivery commitment for any shipment that is incorrectly addressed.

B. ADVANCEMENT OF CHARGES
Airborne Express may, at its discretion, advance the following charges on behalf of the sender or receiver: Prior transportation, cartage, storage, loading, unloading, packaging and processing not performed by Airborne Express, and government duties and customs fees. For each advancement of charges, the fee for the cost of administration will be $2 USD per $100 USD of amount advanced or fraction thereof, with a minimum charge of $5 USD.
C. BASIS OF RATES AND CHARGES
Transportation charges will be based on the chargeable weight, which is the greater of actual, cubic/volume, or the higher weight used as defined below.
1. Weight Or Volume Charges:
a. Pounds - when applicable rates and charges are published per pound(s), charges will be assessed on the gross weight of the shipment except as otherwise provided. Fractions of a pound will be increased to the next higher pound.
b. Cubic inches/pound - charges for a shipment with cubic measurements exceeding 166 cubic inches per pound will be based on 1 pound for each 166 cubic inches. Fractions of a pound will be charged at the next higher pound. Cubic measurements will be based on the product of the greatest length times the greatest width times the greatest height of each piece contained in the shipment.
EXAMPLE: A 100-lb. shipment with 3 pieces with measurements of: 1@ 12 x 12 x 24 = 3,456 cubic inches. 1@ 15 x 16 x 20 = 4,800 cubic inches and 1@ 16 x 18 x 40 = 11,520 cubic inches. Total cubic inches 19,776 / 166 = 119.13 lbs. rounded to 120 lbs.
EXCEPTION: Volume charges for Canadian, Puerto Rican and Virgin Islands shipments will be based on 1 lb. for each 194 cubic inches.
c. Kilograms - when rates and charges are published per kilogram(s), charges will be assessed on the gross weight of the shipment. Fractions of a kilogram will be increased to the next higher kilogram.
d. Cubic inches/kilogram - charges for a shipment with cubic measurements exceeding 366 cubic inches per kilogram will be based on one kilogram for each 366 cubic inches. Fractions of a kilogram will be charged at the next higher kilogram. Cubic measurements will be based on the product of the greatest length times the greatest width times the greatest height of the shipment or each piece contained in the shipment.
EXCEPTION: Volume charges for Canadian, Puerto Rican and Virgin Islands shipments will be based on 1 kilogram for each 428 cubic inches.
e. Cubic centimeters/kilograms - charges for a shipment with cubic measurements exceeding 6,000 cubic centimeters per kilogram will be based on one kilogram for each 6,000 cubic centimeters. Fractions of a kilogram will be charged at the next higher kilogram. Cubic measurements will be based on the product of the greatest length times the greatest width times the greatest height of the shipment or each piece contained in the shipment.
EXCEPTION: Volume charges for Canadian, Puerto Rican and Virgin Islands shipments will be based on 1 kilogram for each 7,000 cubic centimeters.
NOTE: To convert pounds to kilograms, divide the pound figure by 2.2046; to convert kilograms to pounds, multiply the kilogram figure by 2.2046.
2. Disposition Of Fractions: For determining charges the following shall apply:
a. When computation of rates or charges results in an amount ending in a fraction of one-half cent ($ 5) or greater, such fraction will be increased to the next higher cent.
EXAMPLE: $13.065 = $13.07.
b. Fractions of a pound will be increased to the next higher pound. Fractions of a kilogram will be increased to the next higher kilogram.
c. Before computing cubic dimensions, fractions of less than one-half inch will be dropped and fractions of one-half inch or more will be considered as one inch. Fractions of less than one-half centimeter will be dropped and fractions of one-half centimeter or more will be considered as one centimeter.
D. BILLING SPECIAL HANDLING FEES
1. Upon request of the sender or the receiver, Airborne Express will provide an additional photocopy of the airbill, a facsimile copy of the invoice, or a copy of the sender's bill of lading. There will be no charge for these photocopies when requested within sixty (60) days of date of issuance. A service charge of $10USD will be assessed for each copy provided by Airborne Express after 60 days.
EXCEPTION: This rule does not apply to copies requested for proof of delivery in defense of a written claim.
2. A $10 USD service charge will be assessed for attaching a document(s) to the invoice(s) at the request of the sender or receiver.
3. Service Fee for Change of Airbill: A service fee of $10 USD will be charged for any change of name of the receiver or other statement made necessary by the sender's instructions received subsequent to the issuance of the airbill.

E. CURRENCY
Rates and charges named in this tariff are stated in United States currency.
F. DECLARED VALUE FOR CARRIAGE AND ASSET PROTECTION CHARGES
1. Unless a higher value is declared for carriage on the face of the airbill at the time of issuance, the shipment shall have a released value of $9.07 USD per pound ($20 USD per kilogram), or applicable Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) as stated in the Montreal Protocol.
2. When the total declared value for carriage is more than $20 USD per kilogram ($9.07 USD per pound), a valuation charge will be assessed at the rate of $.50 USD per $100 USD, or fraction thereof, by which such value exceeds $20 USD per kilogram ($9.07 USD per pound), subject to a minimum charge of $2.50 USD. The maximum shipment valuation for declared value is $25,000 USD.
3. Asset Protection is available at an additional charge. A $3.25 USD minimum will be charged for all shipments. For shipments exceeding $500 USD in value, $.65 USD for each $100 USD (or fraction thereof) will be charged, in addition to the minimum charge. The maximum shipment valuation is $1,000,000 USD. When the shipment valuation for carriage designated by the sender is in excess of $25,000 USD, Asset Protection is mandatory for the entire shipment value.
NOTE:
a) If sender purchases Asset Protection, Airborne Express waives certain defenses, as set forth in "Limit of Liability and Liability Not Assumed," paragraphs B.1, B.2, B.3 and extends certain time limits, as set forth in "Claims & Actions: Time Limitations for Filing," paragraphs A.2 and A.6. Airborne Express retains all other limits of liability and time limitations, including the disclaimer of consequential and special damages.
b.) The charge for Asset Protection is in lieu of a declared value charge.
c.) Asset Protection is not available for perishable shipments, household goods shipments or personal effects shipments.
4. The declared value for transportation shall not exceed the declared value for customs by more than 10%. Any declared value amount in excess of the foregoing limitation shall be disregarded. The declared value for customs must state the true value of the goods.
G. DIRECT RATES OR CHANGE PRECEDENCE
Where a direct rate or charge is published for application from a point of origin to a point of destination, such rate or charge takes precedence over any combination of intermediate rates or charges from origin to destination notwithstanding that it is higher or lower than the aggregate of intermediate rates or charges.
H. EFFECTIVE RATES
The applicable rates and charges are those in effect on the date of receipt of the shipment by Airborne Express.

EXCEPTION: No charge will be assessed when proof of delivery is provided in defense of a written claim.
M. REDUCTION OF CHARGES
If the weight-rate charge for a given weight is greater than the weight-rate charge for a higher weight, for a shipment of like kind between the same two points, then the lower charge takes precedence. Weight-rate charge is defined as the charge resulting from the weight times the applicable rate.
EXAMPLE: If the rate for a 90-kilogram shipment is $3.44 USD per kilogram, and the 100-kilogram rate between the same two points is $3.07 USD, the latter would apply (i.e. $3.07 x 100 = $307, which is less than 90 x $3.44 = $309.60).

When delivery to a residence is requested, a charge of $5 USD per shipment will apply in addition to all other applicable charges.
