SEATTLE-January 20, 1997-Airborne Express has opened a new facility in Portsmouth to better serve the New Hampshire seacoast area.

The new, 25,400 square foot building is located at 115 Heritage Avenue, and is open to the public as a drop off and pick up point for packages. It also will serve as the district sales office for Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

"With the new station being nearly three times the size of what we had previously, we are able to meet increased demand in processing both domestic and international shipments," said Bob Owen, Airborne's district sales manager.
