NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS SELECTS AIRBORNE EXPRESS AND ALS TO HANDLE EUROPEAN ACCOUNTS

SEATTLE -- November 6, 1995 -- A two year, one million dollar agreement will enable National Instrument, an Austin-based computer board and software manufacturer, to ship inventory to Europe with ALS and Intexo providing third party logistics services.

Centralizing National Instrument's logistics process will bring the product closer to their customers in Europe and reduce lead times on European orders.

"This move will reduce overhead and provide National Instruments with maximum flexibility to grow our European business," said Alec Davern, international controller for National Instruments.

ALS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Airborne Express. The company offers a variety of modern, Class A warehousing located at Airborne's privately owned airport and central sort facility in Wilmington, Ohio; access to more than 70 regionally located critical parts stocking facilities throughout the U.S.; and a selection of air and expedited ground transportation options. Customers can also take advantage of ALS's End-of-Runway services, including computer repair, third-party telecommunications services and a certified Foreign Trade Zone located at the Airborne Stock Exchange.
